Cruces Cup 2024:

 Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be girls divisions?

Girls divisions will be based on registrations. If we have enough girls to create a girls division with true competition, we will have them. Requesting a girls division is not a guarantee that the team will be placed in a girls bracket. Space in girls brackets is limited and is at the discretion of the scheduler.

When will the schedule be out?

It is our goal to have the schedule available no later than Tuesday 05/28/24. This is not a guarantee, only a target.

Will there be a U8 7v7 Division?

We will not have a U8 7v7 Division for boys or girls. Your team is welcome to play up into U9. In las Cruces, U9 and U10 Division usually play in the same division. IF we have enough U9 teams, we will separate the divisions. It is completely dependent on the number of teams registered. Please keep this in mind when choosing a competitive level.

How are competitive levels decided?

When creating a tournament schedule, our #1 PRIORITY is to create fun and competitive matches. We believe that is best done by avoiding "blow out" games in any competitive category. Age group, season standings, prior tournament records, team requests, and additional details the team may provide are all considered when creating competitive levels. It is important that these events both support our local team growth and provide a competitive environment to our out of town guests. Keep in mind that about 80% of tournament registrations will be requests for Gold or Bronze. It is not possible to accommodate all requests. If you believe there is additional information that we should know, please email me d.schwartzbeattie@gmail.com. The scheduler has final say on all schedules and competitive levels. Changes will not be made to competitive levels after the schedule is posted.

Stay and Play?

NOT A STAY AND PLAY! Visiting teams are welcome to book and stay anywhere that works best for them.
